“That was unfortunate. That was essentially an exchange with Cowboys supporters seated near me,” Jones stated during a Tuesday interview. “There was a swarm of Dallas supporters—not New York fans, Cowboys fans. The whole venue was brimming with enthusiasm for the Cowboys.”
He further emphasized that the signal was completely accidental, occurring amid the elation following the team’s final touchdown. “I just showed the wrong digit,” he remarked. “The action was inadvertently performed. I’m not kidding. Should you call it accidental, you can. But it got corrected pretty quick.”
