The winter transfer window proves to be a period of feverish rumour and possible big-money deals. A number of high-profile stars are being connected to transfers out of their present clubs. Here is a look at a selection of the top figures who might be changing clubs this month.

Antoine Semenyo

Although the Black Stars' failure to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, this has kept the forward in contention, indications are a significant move is close. This Bournemouth attacker has a deal with a substantial release clause applicable for a two-week period at the start of the month. Recent developments suggest the Premier League champions look to have won the race for his signature. Former suitors such as Tottenham and Chelsea are said to have moved on to other options, potentially opening the door for clubs like Liverpool or Manchester United to make a late move.

Marc Guéhi

The England centre-back has continued to impress for Palace despite a previous move to Liverpool collapsing. As his deal set to run out in the close season, this represents the club's last chance to obtain a transfer fee for their skipper. Numerous top clubs, including Manchester City and several continental powerhouses including Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, reportedly hold an interest. Yet, a January exit remains unlikely, especially given the manager's dependence on the defender.

B. Johnson

This Wales forward has had starting minutes hard to come by at Tottenham this term. Although being the side's top scorer last season, Johnson has started only a small number of Premier League games. It is understood the North London outfit would be willing to consider a sale for the correct price, thought to be in the region of forty million pounds. R. Neves

The Portuguese playmaker might be set for a comeback to the Premier League following a period in the Saudi Pro League. Juventus are desperate to tie down the 20-year-old to a lengthy contract but face a race to keep one of the continent's most promising prospects.

K. Smit

This much-admired Dutch teenage midfielder has earned comparisons to a Belgian superstar for his playing style. After starring at the Under-19 European Championship, he has become a regular in the AZ Alkmaar first team. This 19-year-old is widely expected to make a major move this month. Newcastle United are believed to be frontrunners, but could face stiff competition from Real Madrid for a deal valued at approximately £22 million.
